Spectra Physics 171 Krypton Laser System
Pristine-condition Spectra Physics 171 Krypton Laser Head and 270 PSU -
originally used exclusively in a permanent installation as a light-show
laser, where it was pampered and maintained like a baby - the tube is
crystal-clean and the PSU passbank is still shiny! Tube was freshly
re-gassed in 2009, and has-been operated very little since. The 270 PSU does
not have the hi-low magnet field option, but otherwise, this laser has
since-been converted into a perfect Holography laser, retrofitted with a
Spectra Physics Model 583-42 Temperature-Stabilized Etalon; an SP Model 482
Oven-Controller; SP 411-803 Prism Tuner/Mount; User-selectable Aperture; and
Holography-optimized HR/OC mirrors, optimized coated for the dominant 647nm
and 676nm wavelengths(broadband mirrors can be supplied upon request, and
HR/OC mirrors can be changed to suit a particular depth-of-field).
Comes with original SP double-foam/boxed head shipping crate and all
accessories (power meter, capplugs, etc.) We will also include a fused 3_ò
disconnect and ~10' of 3_ò feeder to test with from your mains supply, plus a
generous helping of spare fuses and hard-to-find 270 PSU spare parts. OEM SP
spec-sheets/care info-binder is also included. Shipping of this glass-tube
laser is obviously a gamble, so for that reason, no 'warranties' can be
offered. Local pick-ups are welcome, by appointment. For those having to
ship, we will be happy to send a dated, pre-crating/ shipping video of the
system working and power-meter readings.
